Creek Freaks of Franklin County

The Creek Freaks Paddlers of Franklin County are a Virginia Paddling Club, co-sponsored by the Franklin County Parks & Recreation Department, is family oriented, and about exposing kids and families to the local rivers in Franklin County.  Franklin County is showing a huge increase in paddle sports activities.  From the growth of the Pigg River Ramble weekend, potential development of Virginia’s first whitewater park and increased sea kayaking on the area’s lakes, paddlers are influencing the future of our community more than ever before.

While there are a number of statewide paddling clubs, we think it only makes sense then that Franklin County area paddlers have their own organization to arrange trips, swap gear, tell stories, and help expand the availability of river/lake access facilities.  Further, continued growth of the blueway network and paddling sports activities will depend on volunteers and partners who will provide critical support to work on particular projects or events.  Please review the membership application below and join a club that will have tons of fun on the river, as well as, support our local blueways.

If you have any questions about this club, please feel free to contact one of the officers at the above link.
